Ropes & Gray Represents Lilly China in Strategic Collaboration with Tencent and DXY to Develop Integrated Diabetes Patient Care Program

Ropes & Gray advised Lilly China in a strategic collaboration with leading China internet company Tencent and online healthcare service provider DXY to develop an integrated diabetes patient care platform in China. Known as the Lilly Connected Care Program (LCCP), the program will enable patients and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to better manage diabetes by utilizing internet technology, education and services to support their treatment goals.

This collaboration in China involves a multinational pharmaceutical company (Eli Lilly and Company), an internet technology company (Tencent), and an HCP platform company (DXY). LCCP diabetes patients are provided an advanced blood glucose monitoring device, educational tools and professional patient care services, while physicians and caregivers are provided real time, accurate information from their patients.

This collaboration leverages the three parties’ expertise and experience in diabetes care, patient education, HCP relationships, and digital and internet technology to build a diabetes patient support program that creates a total solution and experience for diabetes patients to better manage their disease.
