A June 20 article titled “Experts surprised as SEC plans fresh derivatives rule” in HFMWeek reports that the SEC is informing industry participants that Rule 18f-4 regulating and limiting the use of derivatives by registered funds is returning to their agenda. “I would not be surprised if the SEC released a new version in the near future,” stated investment management counsel David Tittsworth in the piece.
