In an article published by The Wall Street Journal on Sept. 3 titled “Overseas Investors Unload U.S. Real Estate,” asset management partner Matt Posthuma discusses how foreign investor interest is shifting away from the U.S. commercial real estate market. “U.S. real estate is priced very high right now, and people think we’re close to the top of the market,” Mr. Posthuma notes in the article, adding that recessionary concerns are also a consideration. “U.S. real estate is priced very high right now, and people think we’re close to the top of the market,” said Matt Posthuma, a partner in Ropes & Gray’s asset management practice.
