In a Q&A feature published by Law.com, IP transactions partner Regina Sam Penti (Boston) discussed her journey from technical advisor to partner at the firm, including who had the greatest influence on her and the firm’s commitment to the advancement of women attorneys.

Regina emphasized the critical role that her mentors played in her advancement. “When I was an associate, I was lucky to have mentors who underscored the value I brought to our client teams and who spoke candidly about life as a partner. That helped me tremendously in my own assessment of whether partnership was attainable and worth pursuing,” said Regina. She cites IP transactions partner Ed Kelly (Boston) as a mentor, not only on intellectual property law, but also with career strategy.
