Ropes & Gray, and two of our partners, were named finalists for four Chambers Diversity & Inclusion Awards for North America.  Two of the awards recognize firm-level initiatives:

  • Outstanding Firm for Furthering Diversity and Inclusion—for the firm’s leadership on initiatives designed to create a more inclusive environment for diverse lawyers and support team members at the firm, and to dismantle systemic racism in our communities at large.
  • Pro Bono Program of the Year—for dedicating more than 155,000 hours in 2020 to addressing some of the most critical humanitarian crises and social challenges of our time, including leading the legal community in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic and fighting for racial justice and equality.

Two of our partners were named finalists for individual awards:

  • Regina Sam Penti for Diversity & Inclusion Lawyer of the Year, for driving important diversity and inclusion work at the firm, and motivating lawyers and allies to join the fight for equality through mentoring and active engagement.
  • Rob Roberts for Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year, for his commitment to pro bono service, including his critical work mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the vulnerable Massachusetts prison population.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in June.
