The National Law Journal profiles anti-corruption and international risk co-chair Amanda Raad in the “How I Made It Series,” which focuses on Amanda’s co-leadership of our global anti-corruption and international risk practice. In addition to that role, Amanda founded Ropes & Gray’s Data and Behavioral Science Initiative, which leverages data analytics and behavioral science to help organizations establish compliance-driven cultures, effectively manage global risk and implement remediation solutions as necessary. In 2020, she launched and currently co-leads the R&G Insights Lab, an innovative legal consulting group that pairs lawyers, compliance professionals, data analysts and behavioral scientists to better achieve clients’ goals.

“I was pleasantly surprised and encouraged by the incredible strength and commitment of the entire team to not only meeting our clients’ immediate international enforcement needs but also really digging into questioning and understanding why certain types of misconduct continue to occur, which is critical to achieving our clients’ ultimate goal of doing business safely. It’s an innovative group willing to try new things, and that is really inspiring as well,” Amanda told NLJ.
