The American Lawyer Highlights Ropes & Gray’s Path to Law Firm of the Year

In 2022, Ropes & Gray was named Law Firm of the Year in The American Lawyer Industry Awards 2022. In addition, the firm topped both the U.S. A-List and the U.K. A-List.

In a dedicated in-depth story, The American Lawyer shared that, along with attention to public service and diversity, Ropes & Gray has developed a strong corporate practice in several industry sectors including life sciences and health care. Additionally, Ropes & Gray’s record financial results in 2021 reflect the firm’s strategic industry focus on life sciences and health care, private equity, asset management and technology. Among the 10 highest-grossing firms on the Am Law 100 and also the Global 200, Ropes & Gray boasts more than 1,500 lawyers in 13 offices.

The American Lawyer shared that the firm’s success at topping the 2022 A-List goes far beyond the firm’s practice or financial results. While the annual ranking looks at revenue per lawyer, other categories that pushed Ropes & Gray to the top include associate satisfaction, pro bono commitment, racial diversity and the percentage of women in the firm’s all-equity partnership.
