Ropes & Gray advised 7 Mindsets Academy, a portfolio company of Gauge Capital, in the acquisition by 7 Mindsets of BASE Education, a developer of social-emotional learning software designed for use in K-12 school curricula. The deal was announcement on January 18 in a press release. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Gauge Capital is a middle-market private equity firm based in Southlake, Texas. The firm manages approximately $2.5 billion in capital. In 2022, Gauge Capital invested in 7 Mindsets, a provider of online social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum and professional development tools and products. The investment aimed to accelerate 7 Mindsets’ plans to develop additional offerings and resources.
