Anne’s practice focuses on complex litigation, including securities class actions, deal-related lawsuits, and breach of contract and business tort claims. Anne has represented public and private companies, financial institutions, as well as directors and officers in disputes brought in state and federal courts.

Anne returned to the firm in 2023 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard M. Berman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

In law school, Anne served as the editor-in-chief of the Brooklyn Law Review.

Experience

  • Represented leading financial institution in connection with a class action lawsuit brought in the Southern District of New York by purported trafficking victims, alleging novel claims under the Trafficking and Violence Protection Act and related business torts.
  • Represented leading healthcare company and its officers and directors in connection with a class action lawsuit brought in the Southern District of New York, alleging violations of Section 11 of the Securities Act of 1933 in connection with the Company’s IPO.
  • Represented portfolio company of a global private equity firm in shareholder litigation filed in the Delaware Court of Chancery, resulting in settlement after close of expert discovery.
  • Represented a biopharmaceutical company and its officers and directors in a securities class action filed in state court regarding disclosures made in connection with the Company’s IPO, resulting in settlement before discovery.
  • Assisted with the representation of a global asset manager in several dozen lawsuits brought by institutional investors seeking billions of dollars in recoveries related to several large hedge funds that underperformed significantly during the COVID-19 market downturn.
  • Represented officer and director in advancement litigation, including in an appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court.
  • Represented an inmate seeking religious accommodation in state prison system, including in successful appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Tucker v. Gaddis, 40 F.4th 289 (5th Cir. 2022) (per curiam).
