Glen Chen is counsel in the firm’s asset management group, where he advises a broad range of clients across the private funds and technology sectors. With more than a decade of experience in both the U.S. and Asia, Glen brings a commercial, solutions-oriented approach to fund formation and investment management matters.

Glen has deep experience advising on the structuring and formation of onshore and offshore investment funds across asset classes, including venture capital, credit, digital asset, real estate and private equity. His clients range from multibillion-dollar asset managers to emerging fund sponsors. Glen’s experience spans both open-end and closed-end structures, and he regularly represents both sponsors and institutional investors. In addition to fund formation, Glen also advises on initial management company formation issues, such as carry arrangements, seed capital transactions and internal personnel matters.

Glen also has a distinct focus on the digital asset and blockchain space. As a native crypto user, he advises crypto fund managers, token issuers, exchanges, DeFi protocols, DAOs, and Web3 development teams on transactional, regulatory, and fund-related matters. He further represents venture-backed companies and venture capital funds in financing transactions, particularly in the technology and digital asset sectors.
