Kate is an associate in the firm’s asset management group. She focuses her practice on advising clients, including investment advisers, private funds, registered funds, companies, and endowments, with respect to derivatives trading and commodities law. In particular, she provides advice in connection with the negotiation of over-the-counter derivatives documentation and other trading arrangements, as well as related regulations. Kate also assists clients with matters relating to CPO and CTA registration under the Commodity Exchange Act, CFTC and NFA compliance, and futures exchange rules.

Experience

  • Advises “buy side” clients on the negotiation of ISDAs, MSFTAs, futures agreements, prime brokerage agreements, triparty agreements for collateral, derivatives clearing agreements, and other trading documentation.
  • Provides advice to private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies with respect to loan-linked interest rate and currency hedging.
