John H.C. Hughes joined Ropes & Gray’s litigation and enforcement practice group in 2025 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Stacey D. Neumann of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine.

During law school, John was a senior articles editor for the Cardozo Law Review. He also interned for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, won best brief and best oralist in the Monrad G. Paulsen Moot Court Competition, and worked as a teaching assistant for two courses.
