Adele Maloney is general counsel of Ropes & Gray and a partner of the firm, based in New York. Adele brings both legal and business acumen to advising firm leadership on their most sensitive and consequential matters.

Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Adele served as general counsel and partner at a global law firm, where she directed global risk management across offices in the U.S., U.K., Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Brazil and led a multidisciplinary team spanning conflicts, compliance, information security, and pro bono. Before that, she spent eight years at another global law firm, first as an M&A and private equity partner, then as a partner in the Office of General Counsel advising on professional responsibility, ethics, loss and prevention.

Adele serves as a board member of Esther's Friends, a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that supports children facing long-term hospitalizations, as well as their families.
