Garrett Miller is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s Boston office. He practices primarily in the firm’s private equity transactions group, representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in the structuring and negotiation of mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, growth equity investments and corporate governance matters across a broad range of industries.
During law school, Garrett advised MIT startups on general corporate matters as part of Boston University’s Entrepreneurship & Intellectual Property Clinic. He also served as the executive editor for the Boston University Law Review.

- Represented Charlesbank Capital Partners and its portfolio companies in a number of transactions, including:
- Investment in EverDriven Technologies, a leading technology-driven platform for safe and reliable student transportation.
- Acquisition of Titan Cloud Software, a leading software platform providing environmental and operational solutions for convenience stores, fuel carriers and service providers.
- Investment in Bridgepointe Technologies, a leading IT channel platform selling recurring technology services to enterprise customers, and Bridgepointe Technologies’ acquisition of Cannon Group and PPT Solutions.
- Represented Advent International in its investment in Salt & Stone, the premium body care brand.
- Represented Bain Capital Tech Opportunities in its partial sale of Ren, a provider of payment technology for the philanthropic sector, to Great Hill Partners.
- Represented Bain Capital Double Impact in its investment in FreeWill, a provider of online tools to address estate planning needs.
- Represented Genstar Capital in its acquisition of Aperture, a provider of litigation focused forensic expert witness services to law firms, insurance companies and corporations.
- Represented Valeas Capital Partners in its acquisition of a majority stake in TicketManager, an event- and guest-management platform.
