Alyssa Pratt joined Ropes & Gray’s in 2025. She practices in the firm’s tax group where she works on a wide range of issues relating to tax law and tax planning.
Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Alyssa worked at a national firm where she worked on private fund formation and compliance matters (tax and corporate), represented clients in tax controversy matters, and assisted clients in obtaining direct guidance from the IRS.
Alyssa received an LL.M in Taxation concurrently with her JD from Boston University in 2019 where she also represented Boston University as a participant in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2018.
Prior to law school, Alyssa worked as a policy officer for the Department of Inland Revenue at the Ministry of Finance in the Bahamas, where she was responsible for drafting value added tax rules, rulings and industry-specific guidance for the public.
