Jennifer has significant experience in advising clients on a variety of complex transactional, enforcement and regulatory matters within the health care and digital health industries. Jennifer advises health care industry clients, private equity firms and other investors on structuring and negotiating mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations and a variety of contractual arrangements and general business transactions in the health care space.
Jennifer has particular experience counseling clients on an array of data privacy, security and cybersecurity matters under HIPAA and other federal and state privacy and security laws, and advises clients on matters relating to artificial intelligence (AI) in the health care space. Jennifer regularly negotiates commercial contracts and advises clients on matters involving fraud and abuse issues. Jennifer is a key contributor to Ropes & Gray’s HealthTrax, which monitors state health care transaction laws.
Jennifer previously worked onsite in the legal department of a multinational medical device company. Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Jennifer worked as a Public Interest Fellow in the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at Southeast Louisiana Legal Services.

- Combination of portfolio company Cloudmed (revenue cycle management) with R1 RCM.
- Merger of portfolio company Ciox Health with Datavant, and acquisition of ArroHealth.
- Sale of Signify Health (healthcare technology company known for in-home evaluations and care coordination) to CVS Health.
- Acquisition of Real Chemistry (healthcare marketing and advertising business) and its subsequent add-ons of 21Grams, Greater Than One and Spring & Bond.
- Acquisition of Swoop (AI-focused healthcare agency) and its subsequent add-on acquisitions of TI Health and MyHealthTeam.
- Acquisition of Access Healthcare, SmarterDx, Thoughtful.ai, Pieces Technologies, and Union Healthcare Insight to form Smarter Technologies, an AI-powered RCM platform.
- Represented Partners Group in various transactions including:
- Wedgewood Pharmacy: Acquisition of a leading animal health specialty pharmacy.
- Blue River PetCare: equity investment in a leading operator of veterinary hospitals.
- Advised One Medical in its acquisition of Iora Health and subsequent sale to Amazon.
- HIPAA and Privacy/Security Enforcement - Jennifer has represented many clients in connection with regulatory investigations, including those related to HIPAA, data breaches and fraud and abuse issues, by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), United States Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, state Attorney Generals and others.
