Peter is a partner in the firm’s alternative asset opportunities practice, ranked Band 1 globally by Chambers Global for both Private Equity: Secondaries and Investment Funds: Investor Representation. As part of Ropes & Gray’s secondary buyer practice, Peter advises some of the world’s largest institutional investors, buyers, sellers, and sponsors across a range of secondary transactions, including GP-led secondaries, portfolio purchases and sales, and structured secondaries. In 2025, the Ropes & Gray team closed more than 600+ secondary transactions worth over $275 billion.

Prior to joining the firm, Peter served for nearly a decade as a partner at Coller Capital, one of the world’s leading secondary investors, where his role involved both legal and commercial matters. Peter combines deep market and industry insight with practical deal and structuring experience to deliver strategic solutions to clients.

Peter previously held a senior in-house role at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, where he focused on matters relating to their North American unlisted infrastructure funds. He began his career at an international law firm in New York, where he advised clients on a broad range of tax matters related to corporate and investment transactions.

Peter earned his A.B., magna cum laude, in politics from Princeton University and his J.D. from New York University School of Law.
