With over two decades of experience in structured finance and credit markets, Ian advises financial institutions and investors on complex, highly structured transactions across the real estate and broader asset-based finance spectrum. His practice focuses on representing investment banks, regional banks, and non-bank lenders in connection with warehouse finance, commercial lending, and capital markets transactions, as well as whole loan trading and other secondary market executions.
Ian brings a particularly strong background in structuring and executing financing arrangements that support scalable lending platforms, including facilities for mortgage and specialty finance originators. He also advises clients on a range of commercial real estate-related financings and asset-backed transactions, drawing on his experience across both bank and non-bank contexts.
Ian joined the firm from another leading global law firm. Prior to that, he held in-house roles at leading financial institutions, where he worked across warehouse finance, commercial lending, and capital markets transactions.
