Kahill Sarronwala is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s finance practice group, based in London. Kahill trained at the firm’s London office and gained experience in the private equity, investment funds, tax and finance teams.
In the finance practice group, Kahill has acted for private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, publicly listed companies, borrowers and issuers on a broad range of domestic and cross-border finance transactions including leveraged and acquisition financing, infrastructure financing, refinancing, and fund financing.

Industrials
- Advising American Industrial Partners in connection with the:
- syndicated infrastructure financing arrangements supporting its dual acquisition and merger of the AquaShip and Intership groups (awarded “Banking & Finance Team of the Year” at the 2024 British Legal Awards in recognition of this deal); and
- financing aspects of its acquisition of FSV Group.
- Advising Bridgepoint Development Capital on a unitranche and super senior revolving credit facility financing in connection with its acquisition of SK Aerosafety Group.
Telecoms and Digital Infrastructure
- Advising Liberty Global, DigitalBridge and AtlasEdge on:
- a sustainability-linked €725 million hybrid leveraged/infrastructure financing in connection with the joint venture acquisition of European data centres (shortlisted for “Finance Team of the Year” at The Lawyer 2024 Awards and shortlisted for “Loan Deal of the Year” in IFLR Europe 2024 in recognition of this deal); and
- €253 million greenfield financing arrangements to support the development of its state-of-the-art data centre campus in Lisbon.
- Advising Cable & Wireless Communications Limited, a subsidiary of Liberty Latin America Ltd., and its subsidiaries in connection with a:
- $755 million senior notes offering and $1.5 billion term loan facility and revolving credit commitment increase and extension; and
- $1 billion bond issuance of Senior Secured Notes as well as in connection with certain maturity extension amendments to the group’s revolving credit facilities.
- Advising Liberty Global, Telefonica and Virgin Media O2 on:
- (i) two recent privately placed add-on bond issuances in respect of €200 million of 5.625% Senior Secured Notes due 2032 and $200 million of 7.750% Senior Secured Notes due 2032 and (ii) a high-yield bond offering of $850 million Senior Secured Notes due 2033;
- two complex high yield bond issuances: €600 million of its senior secured notes due 2032, in accordance with Virgin Media O2’s Green Bond Framework, and $750 million of its senior secured notes due 2032; and
- multiple private placement bond issuances.
Social Infrastructure and Healthcare
- Advising Adaptimmune Therapeutics plc, a company redefining the treatment of solid tumor cancers with cell therapy, on a US$125 million term loan facility with Hercules Capital, Inc.
- Advising Baring Private Equity Asia, now EQT Asia in relation to the financing aspects of the sale of Lumenis’ surgical business.
- Advising Partners Group on the financing aspects of a joint venture with Host Student Housing to construct a £1 billion UK purpose built student accommodation (PBSA).
- Advising GHO Capital on the financing arrangements relating to the:
- acquisition of X-Chem, a leader in providing DNA-encoded library drug discovery services; and
- acquisition of Clearview Healthcare Partners; and
- acquisition of RoslinCT.

- Advising CCMP Capital Advisors in connection with certain financing aspects relating to the acquisition of BGIS, a leading global provider of customized facility management services.
- Advising Kohlberg & Co. on the English aspects of a dual asset-backed and term loan financing for the ski business of K2 Sports.
- Advising H.I.G. Capital and the University of Oxford in relation to the financing aspects of multiple joint venture acquisitions of recruitment businesses.
