Nathaniel T. Valeri joined Ropes & Gray in 2021 as an associate in the firm’s antitrust group, where he assists with domestic and foreign premerger matters for a range of clients.
Before joining Ropes & Gray, Nate worked in the Office of the General Counsel for two major U.S. aerospace and defense corporations where he advised business units on U.S. and foreign export control regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) administered by the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce, economic and trade sanctions enforced by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and U.S. government contract regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
During law school, Nate served as a class representative to the Student Body Association (SBA) and as a member of the Connecticut Journal of International Law. Nate also worked as a law clerk at the University of Massachusetts in the Office of the General Counsel.
