Elyssa Westby is a lawyer in the asset management group of Ropes & Gray, representing private funds, hedge funds and investment advisers in fund formation, transactional, fund regulation and compliance matters. She provides guidance in the formation and operation of a broad range of investment products designed for institutional and high net worth categories of investors, including open- and closed-end funds, alternative retail products, hybrid funds, semi-liquid funds, fund of funds, continuation vehicles, rated note funds and cross-product accounts. Elyssa also represents institutional investors in their private fund investments.

Elyssa serves as co-chair of the Chicago Committee for 100 Women in Finance and on the Associate Board of Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater.  Prior to joining Ropes and Gray, Elyssa worked in the fine art and estate auction industry.
