Thibault is an associate in the asset management & tax practice, where he advises clients on both domestic and cross-border tax matters, with a particular focus on the tax structuring of leveraged buyouts (LBOs), real estate and M&A transactions. Thibault also advises clients on tax aspects of management packages.
Thibault also has experience in structuring private equity funds (GP side) across a range of jurisdictions, including Luxembourg, Scotland and France, as well as advising investors on their primary investments in investment funds (LP side).
In 2023, Thibault completed a secondment at a private equity firm (fund structuring), where he developed an in-depth understanding of sponsor objectives during fundraisings as well as a practical approach of key questions for management companies. This experience now guides his approach to client advisory work.

- Represented Ardian in its $30 billion fundraising for Ardian Secondary Fund IX, the world’s largest-ever secondaries platform.*
- Represented Ardian on the fundraising of Ardian Buyout Fund VII (€7.5bn), the seventh generation of European LBO funds.*
- Represented Ardian on the fundraising of Ardian Expansion Fund VI (€3.2bn), the sixth generation of Expansion funds.*
- Represented Ardian on the fundraising of ARDIAN Clean Energy Evergreen Fund, its first open-ended fund dedicated to renewable assets and energy transition.*
- Represented Ardian on the fundraising in relation to the co-investment in Diot-Siaci.*
- Represented Capza on the fundraising of CAPZA 5 Flex Equity (€700m).*
- Represented My Money Bank in the tax structuring of their acquisition of the French retail bank of HSBC.*
- Represented Webhelp, a leading global provider of customer experience and business solutions, in the tax structuring of its acquisition of Onelink, an innovator in digitally enabled CX, BPO, and technology services across the United States, Europe, and Latin America.*
- Represented Permira on the tax structuring of the acquisition of Hana Group.*
