Last week I was delighted to be invited to join the She Said Privacy/He Said Security podcast with Jodi Daniels of Red Clover Advisors and Justin Daniels, an attorney with Baker Donelson. The topic of discussion was the new EU-US Data Privacy Framework and what it means for organizations transferring personal data between the EU and the US.

In our conversation, I set out what the Data Privacy Framework is and, at a high level, what it means for organizations on both sides of the Atlantic; we discuss which organizations can use the Data Privacy Framework and which can’t, and how the risks change with certain types of data, including HR related data; finally, we cogitated on the potential benefits that changes in the US to facilitate the Data Privacy Framework may have for organizations relying on the Standard Contractual Clauses.

It was really enjoyable to record, with Jodi and Justin asking me a couple of interesting questions relating to my habits in privacy and cybersecurity at the end of our conversation, but I won’t ruin the surprise by telling you what they are. Happy listening!
