Teleconference: Jones v. Harris—What the Victory Really Means

Join us as the Ropes & Gray litigation partners who argued for Harris in Jones v. Harris Associates, explore the significance of the Supreme Court’s March 30 decision establishing a standard for mutual fund excessive fee claims. Litigation partners John Donovan and Rob Skinner will discuss the decision, which reaffirmed the Gartenberg standard against which fees have been measured for more than 25 years, endorsed the primacy of independent fund directors in setting fees, and rebuffed attempts by plaintiffs’ lawyers to encourage increased judicial scrutiny of fees.
