As part of Ropes & Gray’s Latin America initiative, attorneys from the firm’s business & securities litigation and government enforcement practice groups co-hosted two panel discussions with FTI Consulting in Ropes & Gray’s New York and Chicago offices during the week of February 27th. The panels featured practitioners from the legal, compliance, and political risk and investigations sectors, who analyzed the Trump administration’s impact on the political, economic and regulatory outlook for Latin America.
Ropes & Gray partnered with FTI Consulting, whose representatives both participated in and helped organize the events in New York and Chicago. The New York event was further supported by the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce. Among the panelists were attorneys and representatives from American University, Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal, Mattos Filho, Sánchez Devanny and Von Wobeser y Sierra.
The Ropes & Gray attorneys who spoke at the events included government enforcement partners Colleen Conry (Washington, D.C.), Jim Dowden (Boston), Kim Nemirow (Chicago), Alex Rene (Washington, D.C.) and Ryan Rohlfsen (Chicago), and business & securities litigation partner Nick Berg (Chicago).
