David Hennes, co-chair of the firm’s corporate and shareholder litigation practice, spoke on a panel discussion at the Tulane University Law School’s 30th Annual Corporate Law Institute on Friday, March 16, 2018.
The panel, “All this Confusion around Fraud Claims!,” addressed legal issues surrounding the elimination of, or continued application of, fraud claims in M&A deals. Cases focused on waivers, non-reliance clauses, and which parties retain liability for fraud in private and public deals can present unique obstacles to practitioners, and Mr. Hennes and the other panelists examined how to achieve excellent results for clients in these situations. Delaware Supreme Court Justice Collins J. Seitz, Jr. sat on the panel, along with a number of other law firm attorneys.
