For the third consecutive year, Ropes & Gray sponsored the Kayo Women’s Private Markets Summit. Held Oct. 2-3 at the Peninsula Chicago hotel, the summit covered topics of interest to institutional and private equity investors, investment bankers, asset managers, credit investors and lenders, and industry advisors.
Ropes & Gray partners from a variety of practices participated in keynote panels and breakout sessions on topics ranging from health care, trends in secondaries, opportunities in credit and tax reform. Sharing their insights were hedge funds partner Isabel Dische (New York), health care practice group co-chair Deborah Gersh (Chicago), co-head of the firm's mergers & acquisitions group for North America and Boston office co-managing partner Jane Goldstein, Chicago office managing partner and private equity industry group leader Neill Jakobe, and private investment funds partner Amanda Persaud (New York).
Ropes & Gray champions the advancement of women in business and law. Women currently represent 26 percent of the firm’s global equity partnership, well above the nationwide average of 19 percent.
