On Feb. 6, Ropes & Gray, in partnership with Boston Financial Services Leadership Council (BFSLC) – an initiative of Mass Insight, hosted its third day-long conference on digital identity leadership and opportunity in Massachusetts. The event featured insights and analysis on the latest trends and issues surrounding digital identity from leading government, legal, business and academic professionals.
The session’s keynote speaker Franklin Garrigues, Vice President, Digital Channel, TD Bank Toronto and board member, Digital Identity and Accountability Center Canada, presented on Canada’s digital identity initiative and how it might apply to B2B challenges in the United States.
Additional panel discussions focused on the current corporate practices of digital identity, the race for digital talent and diversity, and opportunities for innovation. Notably, Jim Cunha, SVP, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and Joyce O’Connor, SVP Identity and Access Management, State Street Bank, commented on the alignment of blockchain and other technology applications.
Ropes & Gray is serving as the exclusive legal partner of the BFSLC in an ongoing initiative to align leading financial services organizations with university members, academic researchers and venture capital partners to identify and address digital technology challenges.
