Ropes & Gray advised Milton Hospital, a community hospital that has operated independently for over 100 years, in its corporate affiliation with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) announced Jan. 1.
The 81-bed hospital will be known as Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton. The affiliation formalizes a longstanding clinical collaboration between Milton and BIDMC, with BIDMC becoming the sole corporate member of Milton as a result of the transaction.
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is a patient care, teaching and research affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton provides primary care, surgical specialties, emergency medicine, critical care, neurology and ambulatory surgery in Milton, Mass.
