A team of Ropes & Gray attorneys is advising Bain Capital and its portfolio company BRP Inc. as U.S. counsel for BRP’s initial public offering. On May 21, BRP announced that the global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of powersports vehicles has entered into an underwriting agreement for the initial public offering of 12,200,000 subordinate voting shares of BRP at a price of $21.50 per share. Based on the initial public offering price, the Company’s market capitalization will be approximately $2.5 billion.
The Ropes & Gray team is led by private equity partners Howard Glazer, Newcomb Stillwell and Carl Marcellino. BRP shares will trade under the symbol “DOO” on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The closing was scheduled for May 29, subject to customary closing conditions.
