Attorneys:
Health care partner Mark Barnes is quoted in a September 5 Bloomberg BNA article. Mr. Barnes discusses a paper recently written in in the Journal of the American Medical Association by executives at an Australian global health institute on alternatives to good clinical practice (GCP) standards for clinical trials. Mark notes that these GCP standards may not be the primary issue, as the authors note in their article: “One can criticize ICH or GCP, but I don't think that's really the problem. There are other standards that apply: the standards of good practice, the standards of the sponsor.”
Mr. Barnes also discusses, separately from GCP standards, the affordability of drugs for communities in the developing world.
