On April 9, hedge funds partner Leigh Fraser (Boston) participated in the GAIM Ops Cayman conference in the Cayman Islands. Ms. Fraser moderated a panel discussion titled “Prime Brokers: How PBs are Responding to the Challenges Given the Change in the Composition of the HF Industry and Regulatory Requirements” which explored Basel III's effect on prime brokers and investment managers. Other panelists included Scott Carter, co-head of markets prime finance, Americas and global head of hedge fund consulting of Deutsche Bank; Dawn Maxwell, managing director of UBS Prime Brokerage; and Tim Mohr, principal of BDO Consulting.
