Ropes & Gray advised Immucor, Inc., a TPG portfolio company, on its acquisition of Organ-i, Inc., a molecular diagnostics company based in Mountain View, Calif that develops non-invasive tests to monitor organ health for transplant recipients. The transaction will bolster Immucor’s presence in the transplantation diagnostics space and will complement its LIFECODES transplant business. Terms of the transaction, which was announced June 2, were not disclosed.
The Ropes & Gray team representing Immucor was led by private equity partner Neill Jakobe (Chicago) and included tax partner Aaron Harsh (Boston), finance partner Alexander Zeltser (New York), and litigation partner William Sussman (New York), as well as associates Evan Moll and James C. Davis (both of Chicago).
