A Ropes & Gray IP cross-practice team, on July 10, obtained two major wins for clients medac Pharma, Inc. and medac GmbH (collectively, medac) defeating a citizen’s petition brought by rival Antares Pharma, Inc. (Antares) in the FDA to preclude the FDA from approving medac’s RASUVO™ system for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and defeating a motion for preliminary injunction to prevent medac’s US launch of RASUVO™ in a suit brought by Antares, in the District of Delaware, alleging patent infringement of Antares’s patents directed to needle-assisted jet injectors with hazardous agents. The team included IP rights management partner Jim Haley (New York).
