Ropes & Gray advised Liberty Global plc on the financing arrangements in connection with the proposed recommended acquisition of Cable & Wireless Communications plc by Liberty Global, announced Nov. 16. The transaction is based on a total equity value of approximately £3.5 billion ($5.3 billion) for Cable & Wireless.
Liberty Global has put in place a number of financing arrangements in connection with the announcement of the proposed acquisition, including in respect of certain funds financing in compliance with the U.K.’s City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, we well as certain bridge and bank loan facilities.
London finance partners Robert Haak and Jane Rogers co-led the Ropes & Gray team alongside associate Alexander Robb.
