Ropes & Gray represented TPG Growth, the middle market and growth equity investment platform of TPG, in its acquisition of Tex-Mex quick service restaurant plus chain Taco Bueno, which operates across 177 locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Colorado.
With over $7 billion under management, TPG Growth's current and past investments represent a mix of iconic and innovative companies across technology, retail and entertainment, including Uber, Airbnb, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Angie's Artisan Treats, Fender, SurveyMonkey and Red Book Connect.
The acquisition was announced Dec. 2. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Jason Freedman (San Francisco) and included finance partner Stefanie Birkmann (New York) and tax partner Amanda Holt (Boston).
