E-Discovery Counsel to Lead Judicial Training Panel on Technology Assisted Review

Ropes & Gray e-discovery counsel Shannon Capone Kirk (Boston) will serve on the faculty of the Third Annual Judicial Training Symposium on Oct. 10 at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona.

As part of the intensive, one-day training program, designed specifically for members of the federal judiciary, Shannon will serve as the panel leader for the discussion titled, “Technology Assisted Review (TAR)”. Alongside co-panelists from AIG, Meshberger & Spence, the U.S. Department of Justice, and USDC, Southern District of New York, Shannon will provide a technology-agnostic overview of how TAR works and evaluate complex factors such as, considerations from requesting and responding parties, TAR decision points that courts might consider, and benefits and risks of TAR protocols.

The 2017 Judicial Training Symposium is hosted by the non-profit Electronic Discovery Institute (EDI), in partnership with The Federal Judicial Center (FJC) and event co-chairs, Hon. Elizabeth D. Laporte and Hon. John M. Facciola.
