Ropes & Gray attorneys recently contributed to The Chicago Bar Foundation’s (CBF) 13th Annual Investing in Justice Campaign, an initiative that supports the provision of legal access to those in need. Chicago litigation & enforcement partner Jeff Bushofsky and Chicago litigation & enforcement associate Charlie Zagnoli led the firm’s effort. Ropes & Gray was one of 150 law firms, corporate legal departments and other law-related organizations that participated.
This year’s campaign set new fundraising records: More than 5,200 individual attorneys and legal professionals contributed more than $1.56 million to the campaign, with 100 percent of contributions directly supporting equal access to justice. The campaign will enable the distribution of more than $2.3 million in grants and support to more than 30 pro bono and legal aid organizations in the Chicago area.
According to the CBF, the Investing in Justice Campaign is the largest campaign of its type in the country and a point of pride for the legal community in Chicago. For more information about the Investing in Justice Campaign and the work of the CBF, please visit The Chicago Bar Foundation website.
