Genstar Capital announced on July 9 that it has completed the acquisition of Advarra, a provider of institutional review board, institutional biosafety committee, and research quality and compliance services. Genstar, which Ropes & Gray advised in the transaction, is a leading private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the healthcare, software, industrial technology, and financial services industries.
