Ropes & Gray advised NFP Corp., a leading insurance broker and consultant, in the refinancing of its senior secured credit facilities. The transaction closed on February 13. Terms of the refinancing were not publicly disclosed.
Backed by Madison Dearborn Partners and HPS Investment Partners, NFP is one of the largest privately owned brokers in the United States. The recent refinancing builds on Ropes & Gray's successful relationship with NFP dating back to its go-private transaction in 2013.
The Ropes & Gray team that advised NFP was led by finance partner Alex Zeltser (New York) and private equity partner Matt Richards (Chicago), and included finance associates Dan Coyne (Boston), Justin Gaudenzi (New York), and corporate associates Eric Weberman (Boston) and Sophia Duval (Boston) as well as tax partner Pamela Glazier (Boston) and tax associate Brandon Dunn (Boston).
