Ropes & Gray has been recognized by Working Mother magazine on its annual “Best Law Firms for Women” list. The list honors law firms that utilize best practices for hiring, retaining, promoting and developing women lawyers.
Women comprise 31% of Ropes & Gray’s equity partnership and 45% of the firm’s lawyers. Our women lawyers are in highly visible leadership positions at the firm, guiding practice groups, client teams and key initiatives, and Julie Jones is the firm chair. Working Mother’s recognition acknowledges the firm’s commitment to advancing the careers of women from inception and at every turn. Our 600-lawyer Women’s Forum routinely garners accolades for its innovative work guiding women lawyers in their career growth; The American Lawyer profiled our initiatives in an August 2020 article.
As part of Working Mother’s annual conference and awards ceremony, mergers & acquisitions partner Tara Fisher (Boston) will be featured as speaker on a panel titled “Skills & Strategies from the Best of the Best: Impact of the Pandemic.”
Recently, Ropes & Gray was also named to The National Law Journal’s “NLJ500 Women’s Scorecard,” which recognizes the best law firms for female attorneys. Additionally, Yale Law Women named Ropes & Gray a top law firm for “Women in Leadership,” acknowledging the many women attorneys at the firm who hold leadership positions.
