Crain’s New York Business named tax partner Kristen Chang Winckler and asset management partner Jessica Taylor O’Mary to its list of Notable Women in Law for 2021.
The award highlighted Kristen’s work advising clients focused on real estate transactions and fund formations as well as her representation of private equity real estate funds on a variety of tax structuring arrangements, particularly in the capital-raising phase. Crain’s also noted that Kristen regularly counsels clients on the tax structuring of acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures of real estate and REIT matters.
Jessica was recognized for her work as leader of Ropes & Gray’s credit funds team from which she counsels hedge fund and private equity advisers on management company structures, fund formation, compliance issues and a wide range of operational and trading matters. Crain’s emphasized Jessica’s experience advising credit managers on the formation of closed-end and open-end funds as well as regulatory, compliance and operational matters unique to debt fund managers.
