Ropes & Gray advised Switzerland-based Galderma in an agreement for Taro Pharmaceutical Industries to acquire Alchemee, formerly The Proactiv Company, from Galderma, a leading independent dermatology company. The agreement between Galderma and Taro includes Alchemee’s business and assets worldwide, including the Proactiv brand.
Skin care product Proactiv is a leading consumer acne brand used by millions worldwide for more than 25 years. The deal was announced on February 22. Financial terms were not disclosed.
