Ropes & Gray’s Hong Kong Office Backpack Project Supports Changing Young Lives Foundation

Attorneys and support professionals from Ropes & Gray’s Hong Kong office participating in the firm’s 2023 Backpack Project have this year supported the Changing Young Lives Foundation (CYLF).

Ropes & Gray’s Backpack Project was launched in 1999. Program volunteers raise funds to provide new, fully stocked backpacks packed with school supplies to children-in-need, as the commence a new school year.

The Changing Young Lives Foundation serves underprivileged children and marginalized youth in Hong Kong and the Mainland by providing them free center-based and outreach programs in education, talent development and self-empowerment, unleashing their potential to maximize their opportunities at school and work, and inspiring them to live their lives to the fullest.

This year, Ropes & Gray’s Hong Kong community donated over 200 backpacks, more than doubling the pledge to donate a minimum of 100 backpacks, with Hong Kong partners matching all donations made.

The Hong Kong office joins colleagues in the Chicago office whose Backpack Project supported Cradles to Crayons, the Boston office who donated backpacks to the Sydney Paige Foundation, and the firm’s three California offices who donated backpacks to a variety of local family charities.
