Osaic Acquires $13.5 Billion CW Advisors

Ropes & Gray advised Osaic, one of the nation’s largest providers of wealth management solutions and a portfolio company of Reverence Capital Partners, in its acquisition of CW Advisors, a Boston-based registered investment advisor (RIA) managing $13.5 billion in fee-only client assets. Osaic is purchasing CW Advisors from its current private equity sponsor, Audax Private Equity, and will provide increased access to capital to support future growth initiatives. The transaction was announced in a June 17 press release.

The team included private equity partners Gabrielle DiBernardi and Scott Abramowitz, executive compensation & employee benefits partner Allie Alperovich, employment partner Greg Demers, asset management partner Keith MacLeod, and tax partner Tristan Evans-Wilent.
