National leasing activity is booming in the legal industry according to a recent article published in Law.com, and Ropes & Gray’s new lease in Midtown Manhattan underscores the firm’s commitment to maintaining its status as a powerhouse in New York.
New York office managing partners Eva Carman and John Sorkin discussed the new space that will support a productive environment for attorneys and clients, and the office’s growing headcount. Ropes & Gray currently has over 500 lawyers based in New York, more than twice as many as a decade ago.
“We expect to grow significantly more,” Sorkin said. “That's our goal with a focus on the New York market.”
