In an American Lawyer article, Jeff Katz, co-managing partner of the firm’s Boston office and co-hiring partner, and Amy Ross, chief of attorney talent, discussed the benefits of the firm’s ‘Re-ttorney’ program for returning legal talent.
The article notes that since 2019, Ropes & Gray has roughly 130 attorneys who have left the firm and returned.
Ropes & Gray recognizes that experiences attorneys have after leaving the firm sometimes lead them back, enriching the firm’s culture and bringing valuable added perspective on behalf of clients. Re-ttorneys have been welcomed back in a variety of roles including partners, counsel, partnership track associates, career attorneys and knowledge management attorneys across a variety of practice groups.
