Mergermarket quoted private equity partner Eric Issadore in an article on the AI dealmaking environment as data shows AI M&A and fundraising volume growing significantly in 2026.
Eric said that, despite the recent large strategic deals in AI, the industry is still in its early stages.
“It still feels like we are in the growth stage,” he said, adding, “I’m seeing a lot more of the minority investments, even if they're not mega rounds, than traditional M&A."
