Managing partner of Ropes & Gray’s Chicago office Laura Hoey was selected as one of 50 honorees for Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer’s inaugural “Salute! Women in Law” Awards. The awards recognize the most influential women in law who are making a difference and helping other women achieve. Honorees were selected out of a field of 500 nominees by their peers, an advisory board, and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer. The awardees were announced during a live webinar on May 8, and will be honored at a presentation ceremony and reception on Sept. 2.
Laura, a Chambers-ranked lawyer and former federal prosecutor, is former co-leader of Ropes & Gray’s government enforcement and white collar group and co-leader of the health care and life sciences industry group. She was formerly co-chair of Ropes & Gray’s Women’s Forum, which supports the development and advancement of women in business and law. Crain’s Chicago Business named Laura one of “Chicago’s Notable Women Lawyers” in 2018. She received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
