The Deal Names Ropes & Gray “Healthcare, Pharma & Biotech Law Firm of the Year”, Awards The Firm “Private Equity Deal of the Year” at Middle-Market Awards

The Deal named Ropes & Gray its Healthcare, Pharma & Biotech Law Firm of the Year and also awarded the firm Private Equity Deal of the Year at its Middle Market Awards on July 31. 

Ropes & Gray’s nationally renowned health care practice represents virtually every sector of the global health care industry. The health care team has handled transformative mergers, deals, regulatory and enforcement matters for clients including Cressey & Company, Baring Capital, The Vistria Group, Advent International, Welsh Carson and GI Partners, among others. 

Ropes & Gray’s life sciences transactional, regulatory, and private equity attorneys have guided preeminent firms in their investments, including Bain Capital Private Equity and Blackstone, among others. 

Ropes & Gray was honored for 2020 Private Equity Deal of the Year for representing Harvest Partners in its acquisition of Yellowstone Landscape from CIVC Partners, L.P. Yellowstone is the second largest commercial landscaping company in the United States. Private equity partner Carolyn Vardi led Harvest Partners in collaboration with the management team and sellers’ counsel to execute the transaction in an efficient manner; structuring a large management rollover; working with debt financing sources to obtain financing on a short time frame; and successfully obtaining rep and warranty insurance and limiting the number of exclusions based on diligence findings.
